2019 Harvest Hootenanny

The 10th Annual Harvest Hootenanny is a celebration of local agriculture and the completion of another successful growing season.

Join us at the Urban Farm On Saturday, October 5th, 2019 from 3-8pm for the 10th Annual Harvest Hootenanny! We will close down Smith Street, in front of the Urban Farm to serve a large Missouri-grown meal, local beer and wine in the Biergarten, live music, games, a raffle, and hanging out in the garden.

All proceeds from the Hootenanny support CCUA’s garden education programming.  For $50, we add a world class high-five at the gate, and everyone will have a big smile on their face… For $100, we add a world class high-five and a loud “Hoot Hoot!” to celebrate, and again, everyone will smile. See you at the Hoot!


The Meal

The talented Culinary Arts students at the Columbia Area Career Center will once again be preparing an all-local Missouri-raised meal. This year’s menu includes:

  • Hamburgers
  • BBQ Pulled Pork
  • BBQ Chicken
  • Black Bean Burgers
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Watermelon
  • Salad
  • Apple Crisp
  • Mint Tea
  • Coffee


Our biergarten is back and offering some great local brews and sips. With a wristband to the biergarten, you get have unfettered access to free drinks.

Smith Street will be closed between College Avenue and Fay Street during the Harvest Hootenanny, so getting to the Urban Farm may differ from the route you normally take or from how your GPS will navigate you. Look at our map below to see where you can find parking on the day of the Hootenanny.
