Summer Camp

2024 Camp Registration is now OPEN!

Get your kid out of the house this summer! CCUA’s Summer Camp is a week-long half day camp that will connect campers to the outdoors through food and gardening. Every morning campers will meet daily at Columbia's Agriculture Park to plant, harvest, and taste fresh fruits and veggies from the garden! This camp is completely FREE for kids living in Boone County.

Where will Camp take place?

The camp will take place at Columbia’s Agriculture Park located at 1769 W Ash Street. Camp-goers will partake in a range of activities throughout the park.

What days and times will Camp run?

The camp will run in three sessions from July 8th to July 26th. Each session will run for one week for a specific age group.

Camp will run from 7:30am- 12pm.

7am-7:30am: Drop off

7:30am-8am: Morning snack

8am-12pm: Activities + Afternoon snack break

12pm-12:30pm: Pick up

What kind of child would most enjoy this Camp?

Our Summer Camp is open to everyone, however it will be most enjoyed by children who like to be outside and enjoy nature. Camp days will consist of a wide-range of activities, mostly geared toward children who like physical activity, don’t mind getting dirty, are curious about plants, nature, and cooking and enjoy outdoor play. Phone use will be limited.

How much does it cost?

Summer Camp is completely FREE to all Boone County kids!

What will an average day at Camp look like?

Your child will make, explore, and play! Camp will center around the concept of learning from "seed to plate." Your child will learn about gardening, farming, and cooking focusing on the natural cycles of our food. Camp will heavily feature hands-on learning activities.
