Join us for our second class in a three part farm series! In Class 2 you will learn from our staff about the transplanting process.

Tuesday, August 27th from 9:00am- 12:00pm

Join us for our third and final class in a three part farm series! In Class 3 you will learn from our staff about the harvesting and even make your own salsa!

Farm Your Yard Field Day!

Saturday, June 22nd from 2:00pm- 5:00pm

An afternoon of informational workshops and speakers where you get to learn how to up your small scale farming skills and learn from keynote speakers. "Shop" a used tool exchange and enjoy a social hour after the event!

Veterans Urban Farm Memorial Day BBQ

Wednesday, May 22nd from 11:00am-2:00pm

Join us for a BBQ lunch from Big Daddy’s BBQ celebrating our Veterans. This event will feature tours of the farm, a flag detail led by the local Army National Guard, and a remembrance ceremony.

+ Can CCUA teach me how to grow food or help me start a garden?

Yes! You can join our live-streamed and pre-recorded workshops. Families living with low incomes can also sign up for the Opportunity Gardens Program. Last but not least, if you volunteer with us you’ll learn by doing.

+ Do you have programs for Veterans?

Yes, join us at the Mark and Carol Stevenson Veterans Urban Farm for volunteering and special events among a community of Veterans. If you are a patient at the Truman VA Hospital we offer job training and theraputic programs in partnership with the Truman VA.

+ Does CCUA sell or donate the food it grows?

Everything we grow is either donated to hunger relief organizations like the Central Pantry, or programs at the Truman VA Hospital.

+ How do I volunteer?

You can volunteer as an individual or as a group. To sign up, please fill out the form on our volunteer page.

+ How do I make a donation?
