Volunteer
The Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture is always searching for volunteers. Whether you just want to share a few hours of your time on a sunny afternoon, or would prefer a more extensive role in our organization, the CCUA is happy to have you.
Below is a listing of our current volunteer opportunities:
Workdays
Production Farm
4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Come out and volunteer on our urban production farm, located at 1209 E. Smith Street!
Visitors are given the opportunity to gain knowledge concerning the establishment,
maintenance, harvest and preparation of a garden for the winter months through
hands-on experience under the guidance of one of the center’s managing volunteers.
Make sure to bring gloves, a hat, sunscreen, closed-toe shoes and a water bottle.
Demonstration Garden
4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Sundays and Thursdays
Come out and volunteer at our Demonstration Garden (located at the corner of Ash
and St. Joseph Street), where we’re growing over 100 varieties of vegetables, fruits,
flowers, and herbs! Make sure to bring gloves, a hat, sunscreen, closed-toe shoes and a water bottle.
